VoidScout (this website + the VoidScout / VoidRaidTools / VoidRaidToolsReader addons) collects information about World of Warcraft characters and uses it to provide scoring and analysis features. This page describes what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to remove it.

What we collect

From the in-game addons (when the user has consented)

From Blizzard's public Armory API (server-side, no user consent involved)

What we do not collect

Website visit counts

This site uses Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits; no personal information is collected.

Cloudflare Web Analytics uses no cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies, so visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked first: Google Analytics stays off for them until they choose Accept on the banner. You can change your choice at any time:

Whose data we collect

Anyone whose character data is publicly visible via in-game inspection or the Blizzard API. This includes characters that have never installed our addons. If you're in a public pug raid with someone running VoidRaidTools Reader, the Reader records the encounter and uploads it — your name, class, spec, and the boss casts you witnessed are in that session.

This is the same operational model used by Warcraft Logs, Archon, RaiderIO, and similar services. We're aware it's a limited consent model and offer the opt-out below to address it.

Limitations of consent

The in-game addon consent dialog only covers the data uploaded by the user who installed the addon. We are aware this means we collect data on characters who have not personally consented. The opt-out mechanism is the available remedy.
